Arun Plamuriyil Surendran

Arun is an endorsed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in mental health, trauma, and AOD care. He provides comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, with a strong focus on trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care. He is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard and actively involved in their care.

Arun has also completed the “ADHD in Adolescence and Adult Psychiatry” course from Monash University, further strengthening his expertise in ADHD assessment and management. He is skilled in supporting both adolescents and adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, integrating evidence-based strategies into personalised treatment plans.

Arun has worked across acute inpatient, community, and specialist trauma settings, giving him a broad and adaptable clinical perspective. He is committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care tailored to each individual’s unique needs, with an emphasis on long-term wellbeing and recovery. He is fluent in both English and Malayalam, enabling him to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients.

Outside of work, Arun enjoys exploring different cuisines, staying active, and spending time outdoors, which helps him maintain balance and overall wellbeing.
