REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST (CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST)

Elwin has extensive training in psychology, including the successful completion of a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) qualification. He has practiced in both public settings (hospitals) and currently practices in a private practice setting. Through his diverse experiences, Elwin has developed a passion for assisting mental health consumers in achieving their therapeutic goals. Prior to practicing psychology, he volunteered at the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA).

Elwin incorporates a range of evidence-based psychological interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He is currently undergoing advanced training in ISTDP. Elwin approaches therapy with empathy, hope, and a focus on creating a positive therapeutic alliance.

In addition to his clinical practice, Elwin enjoys conducting psychological research. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on the topic of Internet Gaming Disorder and plans to continue his research on a more casual basis.
