Dr Chamalie is a capable and compassionate physician who provides high-quality, patient-centred care for older people across both hospital and community settings. She is fluent in English and also proficient in Sinhala, enabling effective communication with a broader range of patients and families.
She has diverse clinical experience spanning inpatient, outpatient, community, and residential aged care, with strong exposure to a wide range of geriatric subspecialties and services. These include Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM), psychogeriatrics, in-reach services, neurorehabilitation, orthogeriatrics, Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS), rehabilitation, acute geriatrics, and the Rapid Aged Liaison Service (RALS). Dr Chamalie has also contributed to specialised clinics and services such as CDAMS, Falls and Balance Clinic, Metabolic Bone Clinic, Continence Service, Pain Clinic, and Palliative Care, working closely within multidisciplinary teams.
